Pumpkin Patches Near Savannah: Where to Find Fall Family Fun in 2026
Fall in Savannah might still involve shorts and an 80-degree afternoon, but that has never stopped us from fully embracing pumpkin season.
And if your idea of a perfect October weekend involves pumpkins, hayrides, corn mazes and getting the kids outside for a few hours, there are actually some really fun farms within driving distance of Savannah.
The nice thing is that they're all a little different.
Some are close enough to visit for a couple of hours. Others are the kind of place where you pack up the family and make an entire day of it. And if you really just want a porch full of pretty pumpkins and mums? We've got that covered, too.
Here's where I'd go for pumpkin patches and family fall fun near Savannah in 2026.
Madrac Farms | Rincon, Georgia
Best for a traditional pumpkin-patch experience close to Savannah
If you're looking for a pumpkin patch that's fairly close to Savannah, Madrac Farms in Rincon is a great one to add to your fall list.
Their 2026 pumpkin patch opens October 3 and is open Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM–6 PM throughout October. Just make sure you arrive by 5 PM.
The regular 2026 dates are:
October 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25 + 31
They're also hosting a Special Open Play Day on October 12 from 10 AM–1 PM.
Admission is $13 per person, with children 3 and under free. Military members and first responders receive discounted $10 admission.
GOOD TO KNOW: Admission is purchased at the farm only. Madrac specifically warns visitors not to purchase admission tickets online.
This would be one of my picks if you want the classic pumpkin-patch outing without turning it into an all-day road trip.
Holiday Farms | Ridgeland, South Carolina
Best for an easy Lowcountry pumpkin-patch day trip
Just across the state line in Ridgeland, Holiday Farms gives you the full pumpkin-patch experience while still being an easy outing from Savannah.
Their 19th Annual Great Pumpkin Patch runs October 2–31, 2026.
Hours: Thursday + Friday 12–6 PM, Saturday 9 AM–6 PM, and Sunday 12–6 PM. The farm is closed Monday through Wednesday.
Admission is $18 per person ages 2 and up, and each paid admission includes a complimentary pie pumpkin.
On Saturdays and Sundays, kids can also add unlimited barrel-train rides for $3.
One extra perk for our military families: October 3 is Military Appreciation Day, with half-price admission for military members and their immediate family with proper ID. Military families receive $2 off admission on other operating days.
GOOD TO KNOW: Animals aren't allowed, so you'll need to leave the pups at home for this one.
This is a nice middle ground if you want something that feels like a real fall outing without spending half your day driving there and back.
Ottawa Farms | Bloomingdale, Georgia
Best for a close-to-Savannah fall festival
Ottawa Farms is particularly easy from Savannah, but there's one important thing to know:
You've only got one weekend to catch it.
Their Fall Fun on the Farm takes place October 17 & 18, 2026.
The weekend includes pumpkins, hayrides, children's activities, live music, shopping, food and 20+ attractions.
Saturday, October 17: 9 AM–5 PM
Sunday, October 18: 12–5 PM
Admission is $10 for ages 4+, while children 3 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased online or at the farm.
GOOD TO KNOW: No pets, alcohol or smoking are allowed.
Because it's so close to Savannah, this is a great choice if you want plenty of fall activities without committing to a big day trip.
Ottawa Farms 2026 Fall Fun details
Poppell Farms | Odum, Georgia
Best for making an entire day of it
If your family wants to go all in on fall, this is probably your farm.
Poppell Farms is a working South Georgia farm in Odum that opens for its fall season October 3–November 1, 2026, with a corn maze, wagon rides to the pumpkin patch and dozens of attractions.
Saturday
Open 10 AM–5 PM with the maze, hayride to the pumpkin patch and 30+ attractions.
Admission is $18.95 online or $19.95 at the gate for ages 4+.
Sunday
Open 12–5 PM with the maze, pumpkin-patch hayride and 20+ attractions.
Admission is also $18.95 online or $19.95 at the gate.
Want to Go After Dark?
Friday and Saturday nights from 5–9 PM, Poppell Farms offers its Flashlight Maze and 8+ attractions.
Nighttime admission is $10.95 online or $11.95 at the gate for ages 4+, but there's one important distinction:
There is no nighttime hayride to the pumpkin patch.
Several other daytime activities—including pony rides and fishing—also aren't offered at night. If you purchase Saturday daytime admission, however, you can stay until 9 PM.
GOOD TO KNOW: If pumpkins are the main reason you're going, I'd choose Saturday or Sunday during the day. You'll need to be in line for the hayride by 4 PM.
This one is definitely farther from Savannah, but if your ideal fall Saturday involves pumpkins, corn mazes, hayrides, basically an entire afternoon on a farm, it's worth turning it into a day trip.
Poppell Farms 2026 Fall Fun details
FBC Rincon Punkin’ Patch | Rincon, Georgia
If you’re looking for an easy, budget-friendly fall outing with the kids, add the Punkin’ Patch at First Baptist Church Rincon to your list.
The 2026 Punkin’ Patch runs October 11–31, and the best part? Admission is completely FREE and open to the public. Pumpkins, snacks and their “Patch Ice” are available to purchase separately.
2026 Patch Hours:
Monday–Thursday: 11 AM–7 PM
Friday: 11 AM–8 PM
Saturday: 10 AM–8 PM
Sunday: 12–6 PM
GOOD TO KNOW: Unlike some of the larger farms on this list, you don’t need to purchase admission just to enjoy the patch. That makes this an especially easy option if you simply want to take the kids, snap some fall photos, pick out a pumpkin and enjoy a little October afternoon outside.
WHY I’D PICK THIS ONE: It’s close to Savannah, completely free to visit, and because it’s open throughout the week—not just on Saturdays and Sundays—it gives you a lot more flexibility when planning around the other fall events happening in October.
And if you’re already heading toward Rincon for Madrac Farms, you could easily choose between the two depending on whether you want the full farm experience or something simpler and free.
Just Here for the Pumpkins?
Not every fall weekend requires a corn maze and a hayride.
Sometimes I just want to pick out a slightly unreasonable number of pumpkins, add some mums and pretend the Savannah weather isn't still trying to convince me it's August.
For that, I'd head to Hester & Zipperer in Savannah.
It's an easy option for picking up pumpkins, mums and seasonal plants for your porch without leaving town—and particularly good if you're local or staying somewhere with a porch that has you suddenly reconsidering your entire fall decorating strategy.
Which Savannah-Area Pumpkin Patch Should You Choose?
If you want to stay closest to Savannah, look at Madrac Farms or Ottawa Farms.
If you want an easy Lowcountry day trip with the full pumpkin-patch feeling, I'd look at Holiday Farms.
